En agosto, Medellín florece en su mejor esplendor, la ciudad se convierte en un espacio que vibra con las flores, la alegría, la paz y la diversión. Por eso, Medellín, conocida con el apelativo de la "Ciudad de la eterna primavera", se engalana desde hace 46 años de naturaleza, para que sus habitantes puedan expresar con regocijo y orgullo la estrofa del Himno antioqueño que dice: “¡Oh libertad! que perfumas las montañas de mi tierra, deja que aspiren mis hijos tus olorosas esencias, ¡Oh libertad!”
