FERIA DE LAS FLORES EN MEDELLÍN

La primera Feria de las Flores se realizó en Medellín el 1 de mayo de 1957,  bajo la iniciativa del ilustre antioqueño Arturo Uribe. Ésta duró cinco días y fue algo incipiente porque careció del brillo,  en 1958 se traslada esta fiesta a agosto con  el fin de hacerla coincidir con el día de la Independencia de Antioquia. El desfile de portadores de flores se ha convertido en el evento principal de las fiestas, y hoy en día, 500 portadores de la flor de Santa Elena participar en el espectáculo tan hermoso y reconocido. En agosto, Medellín florece en su mejor esplendor, la ciudad  se convierte en un espacio que vibra con las flores, la alegría, la paz y la diversión. Por eso, Medellín, conocida con el apelativo de la "Ciudad de la eterna primavera", se engalana desde hace 46 años de naturaleza, para que sus habitantes puedan expresar con regocijo y orgullo la estrofa del Himno antioqueño que dice: “¡Oh libertad! que perfumas las montañas de mi tierra, deja que aspiren mis hijos tus olorosas esencias, ¡Oh libertad!” Este evento que se realiza todos los años,  es  reconocido  nacional e internacionalmente, ofrece programas culturales, tales como: • Festival Nacional de la Trova. ·     Desfile de silleteros • Desfile de Niños de " Portadores de Pequeña Flor " • Desfile de Bandas Marciales en La Floresta. • Festival del Recuerdo y la Canción Popular. • Feria Nacional Equina. • Festival de Orquestas. • Arrieros, mulas, y los puestos. • Caravana de autobuses rurales y de las Flores. MEDELLÍN POR SIEMPRE SEÑORIAL Y SEDUCTORA                                                                     FLOWER FESTIVAL IN MEDELLIN The first Festival of Flowers held in Medellín on May 1, 1957, under the initiative of the famous Arturo Uribe Antioquia. So, Medellin, known by the nickname of "City of Eternal Spring", has dressed with nature for 46 years, so that residents can express their joy and pride Antioquia stanza of the anthem that says, "Oh Freedom ! perfuming the mountains of my land, let my kids aspire your fragrant essences, Oh Freedom!  This event is held annually, is recognized nationally and internationally, offers cultural programs, such as:  • National Festival de la Trova. • silleteros Parade • Festival of Orchestra FOREVER MEDELLIN SEÑORIAL and seductive                                                             LOS SILLETEROS Los "silleteros", orgullosos de su actividad establecida en el que las antiguas paisa tradiciones vienen a la vida, muestran una variedad de flores con un atuendo que todavía se usa: las mujeres llevan una blusa blanca, un pañuelo, una falda negro decorado con flores, de color blanco delantal, una corbata, y la cuerda sandalias. Los hombres visten pantalón negro, un blanco "paruma" , una camisa blanca, un sombrero, una ruana negro, alpargatas, machete y una bolsa de cuero llamado "carriel". Los silleteros como su nombre lo dice, es una herramienta inteligente adaptable a la parte trasera para transportar cargas o personas. Hechos de madera, es un marco que se lleva a cabo por medio de cuerdas o cinturones para los hombros y la cabeza de la pala. Algunas pequeñas patas o soportes de madera, permiten un manejo más fácil, tanto al levantarla y dejarla caer en el suelo Los "silleteros" The "silleteros" proud of their activity set in the old country traditions come to life, showing a variety of flowers with an outfit that is still used: women wear a white blouse, scarf, black skirt decorated with flowers, white apron, tie, and rope sandals. wear black trousers, a white "paruma", a white shirt, a hat, a black poncho, sandals, machete and a bag of leather called "Carriel". Silleteros as its name implies, is an intelligent tool adaptable to the rear for carrying loads or people. Made of wood, is a framework that takes place by ropes or belts for shoulders and head of the blade. Aquí vine porque vine a la Feria de las Flores; no hay cerro que se me empine ni cuaco que se me atore. En mi caballo retinto Yo he venido de muy lejos, y traigo pistola en cinto y con ella doy consejos. Atravesé de la montaña pa' venir a ver las flores; A ver una rosa huraña que es amor de mis amores. Ahí si otro quiere cortarla, yo la divisé primero, y juro que he de cortarla aunque tenga jardinero. Yo la he de dejar plantada en el huerto de mi casa, y si sale el jardinero, 'pues' a ver... a ver qué pasa. I like singing in the wind my songs because they fly I say what I feel by toditos places.
